This car was built in Cokato,MN in . Serial # 917-407. I purchased this unit 8 years ago in Michigan and worked on it from time to time to get it to this point. This series of Laser 917 is made of thicker fiberglass than later versions. It also does not have the cut aways that later versions went to and are less desired by car enthusists. Inspired by the world famous 917 Race Car,Elite Enterprises,Inc. had designed a sports car kit that captured the grace and contour of the European sports car makers art. This kit is mounted on a VW chassis that has a completly new front axle and suspension complete with disc brakes.Rear axle original VW. Also includes, custom made stainless steel gas tank, roll bar, three point seat belts harnesses,aviation style gages and manuals and ownership. Unit starts and runs.
