Porsche 917 RARE Kit Car AKA Laser 917 - $3100 Reply to: sale-348678099@craigslist.org Date: 2007-06-09, 7:24PM CDT Porsche 917 Kit Car, made by Elite Enterprises in Cokato, MN. This car is called a laser 917, and is on a VW chassis. It is one of about only 500+ left now, it has a serial number on 917-025, which means it was the 25th one ever made! This car is in great shape, shiny gel coat- a definite head turner. We bought this car a while ago and have, gotten it titled, fixed oil leaks (normal for VW engines) and went over seals (put new in) in engine and near tranny. Put in a short shifter change, for faster better shifting, and have cleaned up the interior/exterior. This car is a blast- a little noisy inside like most kitcars- but you will never have so many people ask for their picture to be taken with it than with any other car! We need to pay bills, only reason we are selling it. SO much fun (PS, I'm listing this for my husband- so if the description is funny, it's a girl that wrote it). Please no tire kickers, only come out and look at it if you are serious, not just to get your picture with it (happened repeatedly now!). Thanks and we would like it out of here this weekend.
